The Balcony Restaurant is located upstairs at 287 Flinders Street, Townsville City. 

The heritage building has been the home of the Balcony Restaurant for over 40 years. The timber staircase takes you on and upwards to the relaxed space above that ensures a unique and memorable experience unmatched in Townsville. Nestled high above, escape to the bliss of the Balcony’s charm, where you can enjoy the delicious food, the great coffee, an icy cold beverage and good music. Relax, unwind and let our friendly staff take care of you.

A stair chair lift is located at the Flinders Street Entrance. Please note that we are unable to carry up or down any mobility equipment such as a wheelchair or walkers.

Trading Hours

Mon, Tues, Thursday, Sat & Sunday 8am to 2.00pm.
Wednesday & Friday 6.30am to 2pm.
Closed public holidays.

Picnic Boxes, Elevating your take-out with a variety of food to suit all tastes for breakfast, brunch or lunch. With a selection of choices from Bacon & Egg Sliders, Bananas Muffins, Risotto, Scones, and more, there’s an option for everyone. 

Whether you’re going on cute dates to Jezzine or catering a corporate work lunch, our Picnic Boxes can be ordered to cater for anything from two to a hundred people and everything in between.
